Stimulating, creating and sharing a festive atmosphere that embraces those who live and those who visit the lands of the Maestro on the occasion of the Verdi Festival is the objective of Verdi Off, the series of events with free admission side by side to the Verdi Festival, which the Teatro Regio Parma has been building since 2016 with the Municipality of Parma and with the support of the “Parma, io ci sto!” Association. Now in its eighth edition, Verdi Off will begin with the Verdi Street Parade and will continue with a rich calendar of events, including concerts, exhibitions, installations, meetings, special projects, involving local artists and associations. Two great novelties this year are the nerve centers of the exhibition, identified in Piazzale Picelli, in the heart of the city's Oltretorrente in the space of a yurt that will host meetings and shows for children and families, and the WoPa in via Palermo, which will be the point of reference for appointments aimed at young people.

After the Verdi Street Parade on Saturday 16 September, starting from 18.00 and until 21.00, the inaugural weekend of the Festival continues on Sunday 17 September 2023 from 10.00 to 12.00 with Verdi under the house, the widespread show that brings the joyful spirit of Verdi Off in the squares and streets of all the districts of Parma, with music, dance and theater workshops and performances held in collaboration with local institutions and associations that will reach even the most fragile realities, places of care and suffering , hospitals, prisons, nursing homes, the most peripheral neighborhoods, reconfirming once again this year Verdi Off's mission aimed at bringing the joy of music to those who otherwise would not be able to enjoy it, and thus reconfirming its strong social commitment.

A show that runs along the thin line that separates life and death, eros and violence, self-awareness and confusion. In bed with Verdi is the format conceived and directed by Aldo Cassano of the Compagnia Animanera, staged at Palazzo dell'Agricoltore on Sunday 17 September 2023 from 9.00 pm, to tell stories of loves, passions, ardent, overwhelming, total desires, in the setting of a dreamlike boudoir, where the Master's characters and fantasies come to life like ghosts, victims of a desire that does not easily find the possibility of being lived and told.

Forte Verdi, Peppino's yurt, a garrison of music and peace in which to share the joy of being together in the name of the Maestro: under the large and colorful yurt in the heart of the Oltretorrente it is the place to meet up with the whole family for take part from 17 September to 16 October 2023 in a rich calendar of workshops, shows, concerts and meetings with the artists created by Verdi Off.

A pas de deux between past and present, between orchestral and electronic writing. The Circle –-Verdi Edition is the djset with original music by Matteo Franceschini scheduled at Colonne28 on Friday 6 October 2023, 9.00 pm. Starting from Verdi's melodies, microscopic sequences come to light, thanks to "crate digging", the practice of digging through piles of vinyl to find the perfect sample to sample. Every single fragment returns to its status as a creative spark, in a live set that is a "notebook" of musical images, sound gestures and expressive figures.
